Good location, though not reachable by phone. Rooms can use some fresh paint.
It was my 3rd time at Ritual Maspalomas and therefore I decided to book an apartment rather than a Suite. The floorplan of the apartments has the bedroom at street side and not at the Yumbo-side. This makes that you'll be able to sleep comfortably, even when you've chosen to go to bed early. A big plus of the hotel is the separate nudist-zone at the pool area, even though too many guests tend to mistake it for a cruising area. House keeping does their job very good. Clean towels every day, toiletries provided and so on. Being next to the Yumbo shopping centre the Ritual is at the heart of Playa del Inglés and thus very good located.
It's obvious that the Ritual Maspalomas is used intensively. The rooms that a year ago still looked good, now start looking a bit 'tired' due to peeling paint in both bedroom and bathroom. Some repainting would resolve this. In the bathroom they provide not only a hairdryer, but also a scale, which I think is a great idea. Only to find out that they've forgotten to replace its battery in time :-). It's a pity that the pool area's nudist zone is abused as cruising area, the staff might, or should, consider discouraging this. The hotel's phone number as provided is unreachable. Your call is forwarded to a commercial agency operating on behalf of Ritual hotels, but they simply don't answer any phone calls at any given time. Poor service!
